  • ARE THE LOCATION AND DEMOGRAPHICS OF UGANDA CONDUCIVE TO THE GROWTH OF CAMPUS 2024?

Our campus is connected to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, by a highway named Mityana Road which completed construction at the end of 2013. Buloba has been slowly transforming into a suburban extension of Kampala. The 1.7 million people from Kampala now have easier access to the Christian education provided at AfRU; the Campus 2024 expansion will help AfRU meet this need.

The need for academically rigorous and biblically sound education is urgent. Uganda has a population of 36.5 million with the second highest birth rate in the world. 65% of the population is 19 years old and younger leading to a continuing demand for Higher Education. • HOW WILL AfRU BENEFIT UGANDA?

1.23% of Ugandans complete higher education compared to 10% of all Africans. The poor access to quality, low-cost, value-based education is strangling development and perpetuating poverty. Our vision is to see a transformed Africa, a continent with healthier people living a better quality of life. However, for this to happen Africa must have real servant leaders who are selfless, developmental and transformational. This only comes with a University education that goes beyond head training and covers the heart, character and values embodied by Christ himself. It will take a well rounded leader to face and tackle the affairs of today’s African society.
