Africa Renewal University (AfRU) is situated in the heart of Uganda, specifically in Wakiso district, 20 KM along the Kampala-Mityana Road, within the Buloba Township.
Dedicated to equipping Christian leaders for societal transformation, AfRU is a Christian institution of higher learning. The university received clearance by the government of Uganda through the National Council for Higher Education for charter status.
The university’s mission revolves around the training of Christian leaders, not only for the betterment of the church but also for the broader betterment of society.
With a serene and conducive learning environment, AfRU continues to be a prominent institution in Uganda’s higher education landscape. The charter status milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, character formation, and leadership development. The charter status underscores our dedication to providing quality, Christ-centered education that equips individuals for a life of strategic leadership and service. Our unwavering commitment to quality education remains at the core of our mission.

I am delighted to highlight the truly international character of AfRU. Our university family is a beautiful mosaic of cultures and backgrounds. While AfRU is proudly situated in Uganda, our staff and students come from diverse nations, including Kenya, South Sudan, Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Nigeria, Eritrea, the USA, the UK, Australia, and more. This rich tapestry of nationalities and experiences enriches our campus and enhances our cross-cultural engagements. It reinforces our commitment to our value of global perspectives and the understanding that education transcends borders.
