Dr. Vincent Byamukama 

Ag. Vice Chancellor

Dr. Vincent Byamukama, currently serves as the Ag. Vice chancellor of Africa Renewal University. He holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Capital Seminary and Graduate School in PA, USA. He also holds a Master of Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University.

He is the chairperson of the university top management, acting chairperson of university senate and acting secretary to the university council. He has served as an Academic Registrar as well as Director of Academic Affairs at Africa Renewal University (AfRU) from 2012 to 2022. He has steered the academics of AfRU as well as the registry department since 2012. He chaired the curriculum development committee that developed different academic programs seeing them grow from 4 to now 25. He was the founding acting Director of the school of the postgraduate studies and research at AfRU. He has been the secretary to the university senate, and he has been sitting on different subcommittees of senate like examination committee, Faculty committee, Admissions committee, graduation committee and curriculum development committee.

He is also a member of quality assurance committee, policy committee and research and grants committee. He also chaired the committee that led to the establishment and accreditation of the school of postgraduate studies at AfRU by NCHE. He also led the team that enabled AfRU get accreditation to run ODeL programs from NCHE. He also chaired the committee that spearheaded the establishment of the school of technical and vocational studies at AfRU. He is currently the board Chairman of Mission active Ministries.

Dr. Byamukama is married to Grace Byamukama and God has blessed them with four children; Ethan Byamukama, Emilyn Ariho Byamukama, Elaine Atuheire Byamukama and Erica Arinda Byamukama.
