Mark D. Walugembe currently serves as the DVC in charge of Academic Affairs. He holds a BSc with Education from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, and a Master of Arts degree in Leadership (Education) from Pan Africa Christian University in Nairobi, Kenya.
Dr. Mark D. Walugembe is a Ugandan scholar, author and a Christian leader with extensive experience in academic leadership and Christian education currently serving as DVC Academic Affairs at Africa Renewal University. He Possesses a Doctorate in Biblical Studies with an emphasis on Leadership from Midwest Bible College, Milwaukee-Wisconsin, USA, a Master of Arts in Leadership with a specialization in leading educational organizations from Pan Africa Christian University, Nairobi – Kenya, a Bachelor of Science with Education, majoring in Biology from Makerere University. He is the founder and president of Christian Leadership and Institutional Transformation (C.L.I.T) Ministries, an organization dedicated to equipping leaders and bringing godly change in various spheres of life and also serves on different boards, including Y-Save Multi-purpose Cooperative Ltd, Uganda. A consultant in Leadership, organizational and human resource development.
In the Education sphere, he has taught and served in various leadership positions for over 20 years. In positions such as; Teacher, Careers master and Head of Department in different High schools, a lecturer, senior lecturer, research supervisor, Head of Department, Deputy Principal and Director Academic Affairs in Higher Education. He’s currently serving as the Secretary to the Senate and Chairman of the Curriculum Development and Review Committee. He is a contributing researcher leadership, Christian education, financial management, business success, digital adoption and strategic planning in higher education. An author of “Biblical Leadership and its Relevance Today: The Architect and His Perspective”.
He is also a husband and a father of five, and has faithfully been married to Barbara for the last 16 years.
