Divine Encounters: A Special Chapel Service with Mrs. Irene Kauma and Dr. Rob Campbell

On May 3, 2025, Africa Renewal University was honored to host two distinguished guests for a memorable chapel service: Dr. Rob Campbell, the newly appointed Executive Director of Africa Renewal Ministries, and Mrs. Irene Kauma, Private Secretary to the First Lady of Uganda.

A Message of Hope and Purpose

The highlight of the service was a deeply moving sermon by Mrs. Irene Kauma titled “Encounter with God.” Drawing from her own life journey, Mrs. Kauma shared powerful stories of how God reveals Himself during different seasons of life offering strength, direction, and transformation when it is needed most.

Her message was not just inspiring—it was deeply personal. As she recounted moments of challenge and triumph, the entire room was drawn into a spiritual reflection on divine purpose and calling.

“God does not waste any season of your life. Every encounter, even the painful ones, prepares you for something greater.” — Mrs. Irene Kauma

Welcoming New Leadership

The service also served as a special moment of introduction and welcome for Dr. Rob Campbell, who now leads Africa Renewal Ministries. His presence underscored the strong and continuing partnership between the ministry and the university.

Dr. Campbell expressed his excitement about the opportunity to serve and support a generation of students committed to Christ-centered leadership and transformation.

A Gathering of Faith, Fellowship, and Purpose

The event brought together students, faculty, and staff for a chapel experience that reminded the university community of its spiritual foundation. Moments of worship, reflection, and fellowship made it clear that Africa Renewal University is not just a place of learning it is a place where faith is nurtured and purpose is awakened.

Conclusion

At AfRU, our commitment to spiritual growth is just as strong as our pursuit of academic excellence. We are thankful for Mrs. Irene Kauma and Dr. Rob Campbell for enriching our community with their presence, wisdom, and testimony.

May every student continue to seek divine encounters that shape their future and strengthen their faith.
