Africa Renewal University Celebrates the Class of 2025 at the 6th Graduation Ceremony

On March 28, 2025, the Africa Renewal University community came together in joy and thanksgiving to celebrate a powerful milestone the 6th Graduation Ceremony. Held at the main campus in Buloba, the event honored students whose hard work, faith, and perseverance have prepared them to step boldly into their next season of purpose-driven leadership.

A Day of Honor and Academic Excellence

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, university faculty, families, and friends — all gathered to witness the conferral of degrees and celebrate academic achievement. From inspiring speeches to emotional embraces, the day was filled with memorable moments.

Among the many highlights were recognitions of top graduates from various schools:

  • Wandela Tibakana, School of Business and Computing – CGPA: 4.81 / 5.0
  • Tenywa Rodney Ernes, School of Humanities and Social Sciences – CGPA: 4.63 / 5.0

These students exemplified not only academic brilliance but also integrity, resilience, and leadership — values at the heart of the AfRU mission.

Transformational Words from Leadership

In his address, AfRU Chancellor Rev. Peter Kasirivu encouraged the graduates to go out and transform their communities with the knowledge and wisdom they’ve gained. He emphasized the power of education as a tool to uplift lives and thanked all who have supported AfRU’s journey to becoming a chartered university.

Special recognition was also given to Dr. David Fugoyo, former Vice Chancellor, for his visionary leadership in laying the foundation for this institutional milestone.

A Glimpse Into the Future

The ceremony wasn’t just about looking back — it was a celebration of what’s ahead. With degrees in fields like IT, Business, Education, Theology, and Social Sciences, the Class of 2025 is prepared to be:

  • Thought leaders in their industries
  • Problem-solvers in their communities
  • Ambassadors of Christ in every field

“This is not the end. It’s the beginning of your assignment. Go and lead with excellence, humility, and courage,” urged one of the speakers.

Conclusion: A Legacy Continues

To the Class of 2025 — we are proud of you. You have carried the AfRU legacy with distinction, and now it is your turn to shape the world. Go forth and lead with wisdom, compassion, and purpose.
