The meeting took place at Next Media headquarters, bringing together:
- Mr. Kin Kariisa, CEO of Next Media
- Mr. Isaac Rucci, Creative Art leader
- Dr. Vincent Byamukama, Vice Chancellor of AfRU
- A delegation of Hollywood producers and actors from Cornerstone Church, West Los Angeles
The core focus? Exploring how Next Media and AfRU Film School can work together to elevate Uganda’s film and creative arts industry, while enhancing visibility for AfRU’s trailblazing initiatives.

The AfRU Film School—set to open in October 2025—is poised to be Uganda’s largest film school, providing hands-on training in filmmaking, directing, editing, screenwriting, and more.
With media professionals and industry leaders like Next Media on board, students will benefit from:
