Weekly Chapel Services

Wednesdays | 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Every Wednesday, the entire university community gathers for a dynamic, spirit-filled chapel service. This is a required moment of worship for both students and staff—a sacred pause in the academic week for reflection, inspiration, and renewal.

Led by students from across faculties including Humanities, Business, and IT 
Preaching by national spiritual leaders, government officials, business executives, faculty, and students 
A place where many give their lives to Christ and grow in their personal faith
Chapel is not just a program—it’s part of AfRU’s culture

Student Devotions

Mondays & Fridays | 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

These student-led evening gatherings are focused on spiritual nourishment, prayer, and discipleship. Devotions offer a quiet space to process life, Scripture, and academic stress—together with peers who share the same faith journey.

Grace Fests

Campus Worship Nights

AfRU regularly hosts vibrant campus nights called Grace Fests—celebrations of worship, music, creativity, and the Word. These are nights of joy and breakthrough, often featuring guest worship leaders and speakers from across Uganda.

Grace Fests include:

Praise and worship
Spoken word and artistic expression
Sharing of testimonies and preaching 
Student-led ministry and intercession

Prayer Overnights

Organized by student fellowships, these overnight gatherings are designed to build spiritual resilience, unity, and intercession. They’re voluntary but deeply transformative shaping spiritual leaders and prayer warriors within the student body.
