Iriet Namaja Carolyne is a seasoned Human Resources Director with over six (6) years of strategic and operational HR leadership at Africa Renewal University.

In my current role, I oversee workforce planning, employee relations, leadership development, and HR compliance—aligning human capital strategies with the overall University strategic plan 2025-2029.

I hold a degree in Social work social administration, Master’s in Social work, master’s and in Educational administration and Human resource development and currently pursuing a PhD in education administration and management of Uganda Christian University – Mukono.

Mrs. Mugema serves as the Director of Finance at Africa Renewal University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Management. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from Makerere University, a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Degree from Makerere University, Uganda Diploma in Business studies from National College of Business Studies Nakawa, now Makerere University Business School.

She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. Good strategic appreciation of vision and mission, able to implement plans with a good track record of supporting business needs. Self-driven and self-reliant, hardworking and enthusiastic, sets aims and targets and leads by example, collaborative approach with good interpersonal skills to engage, motivate and encourage others through change. Highly focused with a consistent track record of successfully delivering full lifecycle implementations to tight time scales and within budget. Excellent written and communication skills with sound experience in planning and budgeting processes. High proficiency in the use of office computers and spreadsheets with a knowledge of Navision, QuickBooks and Pastel. Sylvia is looking to continue a career in a managerial /administrative /Finance and Accounting / Internal audit / or grants management position.

Dr. David Musooli currently serves as the Director of the School of Postgraduate Studies and Research at Africa Renewal University. He holds a PhD in Leadership Studies and a Master of Arts in Contextualized Pastoral Ministry from Capital Seminary and Graduate School in Lancaster, PA, USA. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Makerere University in Kampala and a Diploma in Theology from Glad Tidings Bible College in Kampala, Uganda.

Since April 2004, Dr. Musooli has been married to HW Aisia Suzanne Musooli, and together they are blessed with four sons. His professional interests encompass Christian and theological education, Christian discipleship, organizational leadership, and research. In addition to his administrative role, he lectures in the Master of Arts in Theological Studies and Master of Business Administration programs at Africa Renewal University, bringing over 15 years of teaching experience in both formal and informal educational settings.

Renson Mwawasi Kaluma is a visionary leader, pastor, and community builder who serves as the Director of Community Life and Chaplain at Africa Renewal University. He also leads as the Team Leader and Pastor at Renewal Church Buloba, and is an active member of the pastoral team at Gaba Community Church, and oversees the Buloba Child Development Project under Africa Renewal Ministries.

Renson has played a central role in transforming the university’s infrastructure, spearheading the construction of modern classroom blocks, student hostels, faculty offices, and amenities such as a sports complex, cafeteria, and health center. His leadership in renovations and collaborations with engineers and architects has contributed significantly to improving the university’s learning environment.

Beyond physical transformation, Renson is deeply invested in people. He oversees the university’s mentoring programs, regularly invites experts and professionals to guide students, and leads initiatives like Community Day and outreach activities that strengthen campus-community ties. Under his leadership, the Buloba Child Development Project has expanded its impact—empowering women, supporting vulnerable children, and fostering holistic community development.

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from Amity University, a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Ndejje University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Management. He also has professional training in banking and finance from the Kenya School of Monetary Studies in Nairobi.

Renson is married to Caroline Emmy Mwawasi, and together they are raising four wonderful children: Immanuel, Glory, Victorious, and Joella. His integrity, servant leadership, and passion for community have left a lasting impact—not only at Africa Renewal University but across the broader Buloba community.

Joseline is a dedicated student affairs leader and mentor with over 15 years of experience serving the academic and personal development needs of university students. Since 2010, she has held various roles at Africa Renewal University (AfRU), currently serving as the Dean of Students and Assistant to the Research Director. Her work spans student welfare, research coordination, counseling, and institutional planning.

Joseline’s journey with AfRU began even earlier—as an auditing student at what was then Gaba Bible Institute, before joining Uganda Christian University for her degree. Her career reflects a deep commitment to nurturing character, community values, and leadership in young people.

She holds a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration, and Master’s in Public Health Leadership, a Postgraduate Diploma in NGO Management, and has completed educational leadership training at Georgia State University.

Married to Atuhwera Deus, Joseline is also a proud mother of three: Emily, Evan, and Ellena. She brings the same values of faith, care, and integrity from her home into her work—believing wholeheartedly in serving thankfully to make others thrive.

Hosea Asingura is born a gain Christian in 3rd year and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Disability Studies and Special Needs Education. Hosea is a certified international Fitness instructor from the International Fitness Alliance.
His passion is for building communities and helping them find their body in Christ.
