Rev. Peter Kasirivu

Chancellor & Founder

Rev. Kasirivu is the chancellor and founder of Africa Renewal University. He holds a BA in Theology from East Africa School of Theology, Nairobi, Kenya and an MA- Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA, USA.

Dr. Jobra K. Mulumba

Chairperson, University Council

Dr. Mulumba serves as the chairperson of the university council at Africa Renewal University. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), CPA, MBA, PhD. Accounting and Business/Management, Not for profit management.

Dr. Vincent Byamukama

Vice Chancellor

Dr. Vincent Byamukama, currently serves as the Vice chancellor of Africa Renewal University. He holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Capital Seminary and Graduate School in PA, USA. He also holds a Master of Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University.

Dr. Mark D. Walugembe

Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs)

Mark D. Walugembe currently serves as the DVC in charge of Academic Affairs. He holds a BSc with Education from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, and a Master of Arts degree in Leadership (Education) from Pan Africa Christian University in Nairobi, Kenya.

Iriet Namaja Carolyne

Director Human Resource

Iriet Namaja Carolyne is a seasoned Human Resources Director with over six (6) years of strategic and operational HR leadership at Africa Renewal University. In my current role, I oversee workforce planning, employee relations, leadership development, and HR compliance—aligning human capital strategies with the overall University strategic plan 2025-2029.

 Mrs. Sylvia Naiga Mugema

Director of Finance

Mrs. Mugema serves as the Director of Finance at Africa Renewal University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Management. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from Makerere University, a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Degree from Makerere University, Uganda Diploma in Business studies from National College of Business Studies Nakawa, now Makerere University Business School.

 Dr. Musooli David

Director, School of Postgraduate Studies & Research

Dr. David Musooli currently serves as the Director of the School of Postgraduate Studies and Research at Africa Renewal University. He holds a PhD in Leadership Studies and a Master of Arts in Contextualized Pastoral Ministry from Capital Seminary and Graduate School in Lancaster, PA, USA. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Makerere University in Kampala and a Diploma in Theology from Glad Tidings Bible College in Kampala, Uganda.

Mrs. Isabella Namirembe

Director of IT & E-Learning

Isabella Namirembe holds a Master’s in ICT4D, an MBA, and a BSc in Computer Science. She is a former ISP Network Engineer and now leads AfRU’s IT and digital learning systems.

Renson Tom Mwawasi

Director of Community Life

Renson Mwawasi Kaluma is a visionary leader, pastor, and community builder who serves as the Director of Community Life and Chaplain at Africa Renewal University. He also leads as the Team Leader and Pastor at Renewal Church Buloba, and is an active member of the pastoral team at Gaba Community Church, and oversees the Buloba Child Development Project under Africa Renewal Ministries.

Sam Richard Onyait

Director of Quality Assurance

Sam holds a BA in Theology and an MA in International Development. He is AfRU’s Director of Quality Assurance and has 29 years of experience in academic leadership.

Joseline Tindimwebwa

Dean of Students

Joseline is a dedicated student affairs leader and mentor with over 15 years of experience serving the academic and personal development needs of university students. Since 2010, she has held various roles at Africa Renewal University (AfRU), currently serving as the Dean of Students and Assistant to the Research Director

Hosea Asingura

Guild President

Hosea Asingura is a born a gain Christian in 3rd year and currently persuing a bachelor's degree in Disability Studies and Special Needs Education. Hosea is certified international Fitness instructor from International fitness alliance. His passion is into building communities and helping them find their body in Christ.
