Dr. Mark D. Walugembe

Mark D. Walugembe is currently the Acting Director of Academic Affairs. He also serves as the secretary to both the Senate and Academic Sub-Committee of the University Council. He holds a BSc with Education from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, a Master of Arts degree in Leadership (Education) from Pan Africa Christian University in Nairobi, Kenya, and a Doctoral Degree in Biblical Studies with emphasis in Leadership from Midwest Bible College in Wisconsin, USA. He has over 15 years of experience leading at different levels, managing people and developing leaders in different organizations. He is a Certified Trainer and Partner with Centre for Serving Leadership.
He provides consultation services in leadership and organizational development including trainings that are designed to address the needs of different organizations. He is the founder and president of Christian Leadership and Institutional Transformation, an organization whose vision is serving leaders bringing godly change in different spheres of the world. He is currently a board member of Y-Save Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd, serving on four sub-committees. He brings along some of the following skills to Africa Renewal University Management Team; leading and managing change, strategic leadership, results-based leadership, organizational renewal, research development, policy development, educational training and facilitation, governance, leadership development, and other organizational development skills.
Mark Douglas Walugembe, is married to Barbara Nabakka Walugembe a practicing lawyer serving with the government of Uganda. God has blessed them with 5 children (Noah, Ezekiel, Hadassah, Ethan and Zoe).
