Jeff Atherstone

Founding Vice Chancellor

Jeff Atherstone was the founding Vice Chancellor and President of Africa Renewal University in Buloba, Uganda, from 2006-2015. Under his leadership, AfRU grew from a start-up Bible institute to an accredited Christian University on a 23-acre campus with over 25 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. Today Jeff serves as the Director of Donor Ministries for The Gospel Coalition.

Though still involved with the Africa Renewal University, Jeff stepped down from day-to-day operations in 2015 and now lives with his family in Atlanta.
